The noble elegant iris with its delicately scented flowers and pungent roots – the famous orris rhizomes – is one of the most ancient as well as most expensive ingredients in perfumery.
Iris Malikhan is the vision of blue, mauve, purple and white iris blooming on the edge of an arid desert. Green leaves like swords thrust up against the brilliant cloudless sky.
Iris is blended with golden mimosa to conjure an animalic, leathery note intensified and sweetened by vanilla; and by mastic resin “the tears of Chios”.
